thinking about yoohankim meeting in a forum rp au. i think han sooyoung keeps getting banned and making alts for mini-modding and also makes soooo many characters. but i think also maybe its a huge rp site and shes an admin and thats why she minimods, she forgets what account shes on and doesnt want to admit that she and the others have secondary accounts bc thats not allowed in the site rules. so she also does not allow ip bans.

i think maybe dokja made a character so similar to yoo joonghyuk in some respects (maybe he is engaging in au rpf of his favorite streamer.) (yjh is like 'what is this. why are you doing this.') (yjh has already made a self-insert character to rp as himself) (this is part of an elaborate scheme by kdj who is also an admin to tease yjh) (yjh is also an admin)

i think the story wnds with all three of them getting ip banned by the other site admins for duplicate accounts along with other ppl caught in the crossfire so they work together to make a new rp site. (after trying to just emigrate to a new one but getting banned in short order)

the forum rp they all go to at first is some medieval fantasy rp bc hsy has been casually part of it for the last three years in addition to the main rp but within three days they all get banned including hsy because they bring aliens and their own 'yes, and’ approach to rp and their elaborate backstories from the other site to what is ostensibly only rp for high political drama. the entire site’s history has to get rolled back three days. they get suspected as being part of a ddos attack. hsy rejoins later ban-evading but shes not putting That much effort into it. her avatar is the same but with a fake mustache on it. she does get banned as soon as she starts rping again but thats fine she just wanted access to her posts so she could save her characters.

kdj has also been rping on a werewolf vs vampires underworld vaguely supernatural rp for years and has a very good reputation there. he started rping there when he was a kid and had THEEE most edgy backstory for his main character. but like. in that kid way. he has broken the rules before but not to a bannable extent and the admins there wouldnt ban him anyway bc they know too much abt his prev situation

like maybe 3 ppl know what im talking about completely when i talk about enamel, ardere, and rey's dynamic and HOW funny enamel/rey is as a concept. but i Have to say it somewhere that in some au out there both of them got sick of ardere's actions and got together. not within two degrees of separation from canon, but maybe three or four (as they would have to have slightly different personalities etc)

like in the current draft its actually important for ardere’s arc that things happen as they do! that ardere leaves enamel to prove himself out of fear and insecurity and self-doubt, and then winds up in a situation with rey where rey starts putting emotional distance between them due to his own insecuruty, self-doubt, and fear. it gives him perspective as to how he treated enamel and how they deserved better than being abandoned.

however, in a situation where ardere never joined a choir, rey fled rather than lead a mutiny, and rey met enamel without any political position- or where rosewater was never the choir of dawn’s leader- then rey wouldnt have an association of power with misusing it, nor have to worry about the public image of having a partner/concerns about nepotism and unfairness or targeting. and in those hypothetical situations, theyd get along pretty well!

(they would be pretty removed from canon, and a substantial part of the nurture part of their personalities would be different, but like. besides that.)

the thing is though- ardere and rey ending up in a relationship would require even fewer changes- and i think thats a really compelling storyline to write and read about. the situation, things out of their control, the other things they love- all of that draws them apart. but not them; its a really fun kind of tragedy, one that isnt really a tragedy because they still wind up happy- just not with each other.

idk! this happens in real life; things keep people apart. its not perfect. it doesnt mean itll stay that way, or that even if it does you still cant find some happiness or fulfillment. bronte has an unrequited crush on [violet] (brackets indicating temp name), and she never really finds someone else she likes; but she does find fulfillment and happiness in her life. [rainbow] and [comet] only find each other later in life, but theyve had fulfilling lives and love each other, and find even more fulfillment in that.

aaaaaaaaaaaaugh time to name 30+ ocs that need names in sw&rs. the pains of switching over from being a fanwork to an original one. but the joys, too. now they can be named so many cool new things
